World Bird Sanctuary

While visiting my brother in West St. Louis County, I had the opportunity to visit the World Bird Sanctuary, 125 Bald Eagle Ridge Road, Valley Park, MO. This is a wonderful place where you can get up close to birds from different parts of the world, including Bald Eagles. According to it's website, "The World Bird Sanctuary is one of North America’s largest facilities for the conservation of birds. WBS is on the leading edge of public awareness regarding the plight of bird species worldwide." It also rehabilitates injured birds at the hospital located at the sanctuary. It was a cloudy morning when I visited the sanctuary, but I was still able to get some nice photographs because of the unique opportunity to get so close to the birds.
