Sacred Heart Catholic Church - 504 Fulton St.

This landmark church was dedicated in 1906 by Bishop John Lancaster Spalding to serve the German speaking immigrants of Peoria. Much of the interior work, such as the cabinet work and wall frescos, was completed by Peoria members of the congregation.

Peoria's third City Hall was dedicated on January 5, 1899. This red stone building of Flemish Renaissance-style was designed by Peoria architects, Reeves and Baillie. The building's interior rooms are arranged around a central hall on each floor and are lighted by a stained glass skylight in the fourth floor of the ceiling. City Hall still includes the Victorian Bell Tower from the original structure. It is the only governmental building in the Peoria area that has been constantly in use since before the turn-of-the-(20th)-century. In 1978, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Sonar Tide was commissioned by the Junior League of Peoria. Ronald Bladen's sculpture is 26 feet high, 51' 9" long and 4" wide.
