Prickley Pear Cactus fruit, almost ripe. The cactus grow in the sandy soil around Spring Lake and Sand Ridge State Park.

Parasol mushrooms found in Bison Country at Lone Elk Park. Luckily the bison were not around when I slipped out of the car to pick the mushrooms. The hat is filled with boletes and acorns picked on my walk through the woods at the World Bird Sanctuary.
