Pelicans, terns, gulls, and egrets at Rice Lake. We read about someone spotting 3,000 pelicans at Rice Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area in Fulton County near the Illinois River so we had to see for ourselves. We saw hundreds of them on our limited excursion. Scott and I will go back in the morning before it gets hot to get a better look.
